My friend's sister Alie and her husband Eric got married on October 24 at the Army Navy Club in Washington DC. It was a beautiful wedding and I was super happy to be apart of it!
Donna and Lalo Wedding
It has been a really long time since I have blogged but I'm happy to post my friends, Donna and Lalo's wedding in Palmdale, California. The day before the wedding, the wedding party was getting ready for a rehearsal run-through when the mother of the bride and a guest were trapped in the elevator. While this wasn't a good start to the wedding festivities, the rest of the weekend with off without a hitch and everything else went according to plan. I unfortunately had to leave early from the wedding because I had to catch the red-eye out of LAX to go to work on Monday, but I was so happy that I had the opportunity to capture this wedding. Congratulations Donna and Lalo!
Smithen Family Photos with a New Addition!
I took some family photos of The Smithen family last November and they asked me to come back to take some photos of a new addition they have to the family. This is first time I've done a newborn photoshoot but it was great taking pictures of the Smithens again!

More to come.
The Hoya's Food Issue
Every semester The Hoya, Georgetown's student newspaper, publishes a Food Issue where we highlight simple food to make at home. This semester, I got to witness the fabulous Remy Samuels in action as she made some homemade bread, a French Vinaigrette salad, Tartiflette, and a Dark Chocolate-Salted Carmel Layer Cake. After we took the pictures, we got to eat the awesome food. Check the link here to see the recipes and the article. Hope y'all are hungry!
Groove Theory
My roommate Jason Thompson is on Georgetown's premiere hip-hop dance team and I always love watching and taking pictures of them. Their choreography always looks so good and I'm sad that this is my last year taking pictures of them. I've enjoyed the many memories and I'm proud to say I know many Groovers. Enjoy!
Dolores and Eric Engagement Photos
Fall is definitely here and as a California transplant, I've already deemed this weather too cold to live in. Fortunately we were able to catch the trees before the leaves turn brown and fall off. It was a rather gray day but we had a great time shooting in Georgetown. Congratulations to Dolores and Eric on their engagement and best of luck on the wedding! Now it's time to hunker down and get ready for winter!
Smithen Family Portraits
I had a great time taking photos of the Smithens on a nice fall day. We went to Roosevelt Island on a pretty busy day as people were cheering on runners for the Marine Corp Marathon. Hope you enjoy the pictures!
Javier and Jared's Wedding
I said I would post the wedding I did a few weeks ago and here they are! For those who remember, back in July I was fortunate enough to be the photographer for Javier and Jared's engagement shoot. It was a beautiful day and we got some great pictures from it. Fast forward to three weeks ago, I got to see Javier and Jared again, but this time it was wedding day! The wedding was held at Shaw's Tavern and we had the whole upstairs of the restaurant to ourselves. The ceremony was held in the same area which had great lighting and a nice rustic feel to it. After the ceremony, while the guests mingled, I grabbed Javier and Jared, their family and best men to a nice yard that Javier and Jared had scouted out before. We got some great shots there and then headed back for dinner. As a foodie, I always love seeing what kind of food is served at weddings, and I must say, the food was AWESOME. After dinner, the wait staff cleared away the dinner tables and everyone got to enjoy some nice dancing.
It was such a nice wedding and I am so fortunate to be apart of it. I wish Javier and Jared the best and many happy years together! I hope everyone enjoys the photos! I will try to upload more pictures as I take them.
Clara's Baptism
Hello!
Two weeks ago I covered my first baptism at Georgetown. It was an awesome experience to be at a baptism because the only other baptism I have attended was my own one, and I don't really remember that too well. It is great to be back in Dahlgren Chapel after all of the renovations it has had recently. Hopefully I will be able to do a wedding there soon!
Anyways, thanks for stopping by, I hoped you enjoy the pictures. I will be posting a wedding I did of Javier and Jared soon so stay tuned for those!
Javier and Jared's Engagement shoot
Hi everyone,
It has again been a lonnngggg time since I've posted anything to this blog. To be honest, I don't get to shoot all that much since I've been working full time during the summer. That being said, I've had some awesome opportunities assisting a local DC pro Nat Wongsarj with some weddings. I got some great photos during those weddings and will also be assisting him in September so I will probably get those pictures up at some point. Even though things are pretty busy now that school is starting up and I'm still working, I've finally got around to going through the photos I did take during the summer.
This was an engagement shoot I did two weeks ago in Georgetown. It's pretty funny how I met Javier and Jared. I flew back to San Francisco in July to surprise my dad for his birthday (which went great by the way), and on the return trip back to DC, I was boarding my Virgin America flight when I met Javier, who is a flight attendant. I had my camera around my shoulder and Javier stopped and asked me if I was from DC and a photographer. He told me he needed a photographer for his wedding and we took off from there (pun intended). He was so kind and bumped me up to Main Cabin Select, which I've never sat in before, but I must say the extra legroom on a 6 hour red-eye flight is very welcoming. Even though the weather wasn't that cooperative during the morning, by the time we started shooting in the evening it all cleared up. We had a great time walking all over Georgetown and getting some great shots. Their wedding is in two weeks, so I will try to get up another blog post after that.
That's it for now, thanks for looking at this post and reading along. I hope you enjoy the pictures, and I will try my best to get up the pictures I take during the year up on this blog. As always, comments and criticism are appreciated, so let me know what you think!
Molly's Graduation Photoshoot
Hello All,
It has been a long time since I've blogged. Sorry that I haven't been taking many pictures. It's getting to be that time of year again when finals are approaching so I haven't been able to do much with my photography. A few weeks ago I did a photoshoot with a sorority on campus called DPE. They were really fun to work with and shooting over 50 girls was stressful but was a lot of fun. I didn't post those photos just because of the sheer magnitude of all of the pictures, but you can check them out here if you want to see them. Just before finals started, I was able to do some senior portraits with Molly who is in DPE. We were hoping it was going to be sunny because we've been having some great weather in DC, but it turned out to be cloudy and drizzly all day. But it actually worked out great for us because all of the colors were so saturated and vibrant and looked great. Hope you guys enjoy the photos and stay tuned for more adventures.
First Post and Geneve and Paul's Engagement Shoot
Hello all,
Last year before I went abroad to China, I started a photo blog of the shoots I did and the many adventures I would have in China. But given the hectic schedule while abroad and the extremelyyyyy slow internet over there, I couldn't keep up with the amount of photos I ended up taking. Now that I'm back and still shooting, I want to share more of the photos I take and I am going to try to update this blog as much as I can. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and follow along.
OK, so for the first post, I did an engagement shoot yesterday with Geneve and Paul. They are actually Georgetown alums, so we shot a few places on campus. DC is been experiencing some weird weather and it's been rather cold lately, but it was a beautiful day. It almost made me feel like I was back in Cali. Campus was abuzz with students chilling on the lawn and tours walking around campus. Geneve and Paul have another photographer doing their formal engagement shoot in California, so this was more of their teaser engagement shoot. But it was great fun and their dog Bagel was really cute. Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
Cheers!
